Hi everyone,

I wanted to give you all a quick update on where we are with Alchemy Vault production. Over the past few weeks, our team has been laser-focused on getting these units assembled, tested, and shipped. Once yours is ready, you'll receive an email with tracking information from BackerKit. Check out the images below of some of the units in progress:

Unfortunately, production is moving more slowly than we had anticipated. Part of the issue is due to the print schedule: we have been unable to print tops and gears at the same rate as bases. This has resulted in an excess of 200-300 bases that are waiting to be fully assembled. We are taking a look at the print sequence to figure out how we can reduce machine downtime. 

Dimensional accuracy has also been a challenge with 3d printing on a mass scale. We spent much of January calibrating the machines, specifically checking for skew and setting the z-offset more accurately. I'm pleased to report that this has resulted in more units passing our rigorous QC process. 

So far, 136 pledges have been fulfilled. To provide a better sense of our pace, I will start posting the numbers once a week until all rewards have been sent. The delivery window will likely shift about two weeks ahead, through the end of February. We understand it has been a long wait and we're we're putting in every effort to make sure that the final product meets your expectations.

New Box Locks

We're excited to announce our latest product feature - "Box Locks": circular or hexagonal gold bands that secure the tops in place. Not only are they a great way to keep your unit safe during shipping, but they also make sure your Alchemy Vault will not accidentally open on the way to game night. 

All units shipped after January 24th come with Box Locks included. If you received your unit prior to this date, we’ll send you the locks at no additional cost.
